Mechanics Tip for Honda 450R's

On the 06 and up models, not sure about the 04 and 05, the air box lid is
very restrictive since the intake tube is very tiny. And most people are
worried about taking their air box lid off because of two factors: 1) having
to clean the air filter more often. & 2) the fear of something passing
through the filter and getting in the engine. If you want to run the lid off
but don't want to sacrifice either, and also don't want to buy a 40$
outwears air box cover just go buy a universal UNI filter sheet and simply
1. fold 2. spray with filter oil & 3. wedge in place inside filter box. you
now have a filter for you filter and can run your 450r with the lid off or
on with it and cut air filter maintenance in more than half.
